Aleid joined Wepublic as a director at the end of 2023, bringing her extensive experience in strategy, public affairs, reputation management, and stakeholder management. Throughout her career, she has frequently navigated between politics and top-level management, gaining substantial experience with complex societal issues that have a significant impact on clients, citizens, and businesses. What drives Aleid is the ability to structure these issues and guide clients toward concrete and tangible results.
Aleid's passion for the position of organizations within society began during her business studies. Questions like "How do you engage a wide range of stakeholders in societal issues?" and "How important is reputation for a company's future?" have inspired her from the start of her career. The first ten years of her professional journey were spent working for the Ministry of Finance and the European Commission in Brussels, which gave her a deep understanding of how governments in the Netherlands and Brussels truly operate. She then spent over a decade at the Dutch Banking Association, where, as Director of Policy and a member of the three-person executive board, she led the organization, managed complex negotiations with politicians, government bodies, and regulators, and represented the association in various media.
In 2022, Aleid joined the Supervisory Board of the Dutch Foster Care Association, driven by her belief that foster care deserves more support from society, especially from The Hague.
And if you ever find yourself stuck in difficult negotiations or a complex stakeholder landscape, Aleid is here to help you find a breakthrough and a strategy that works—whether in politics or the corporate world.
